On March 4, 2014, on Dr. Grace Butler’s birthday, Mayor Annise Parker and Councilman Dwight Boykins presented a proclamation to Dr. Butler recognizing her dedication and hard work toward diminishing colorectal cancer mortality and incidence rates in the Greater Houston area. Later that evening City Hall was lit up in blue lights, kicking off colorectal cancer awareness month.
